Unfortunate end for determined Bendsneyder in Mugello

Bo Bendsneyder

Position: DNF – Championship: 28th – Points: -

Bendsneyder - 2018After yesterday, we changed the bike a little bit and we made a good step, so we had a lot of confidence for the race and were really focused on it. Finally, there happened something with the clutch and that sort of things happen sometimes. Now it’s just a bad moment for this, but it’s like that. The positive is that we made a great step this morning, we showed that we can be there, so let’s focus on tomorrow for the test, where we hope it is dry and on the next race in Barcelona to show our potential there.”

Another tough weekend for the Tech3 Moto2 Racing Team. Race by race it’s almost the same story, we’re too far down in Qualifying. Apparently, an issue with the clutch at the start forced Bo to retire, which is a shame, but anyway, he would have had to fight hard from P23. It’s never good to be on the grid and not to finish your first lap of the race. Anyway, we have another test tomorrow and hopefully we can still grow and improve. Hector did an ok weekend, which was his third race with us this year and he is starting to understand the level of the Moto2 World Championship. He is learning and he has been good so far, but the gap is very big. We are very happy to have given him this possibility to do these races with us, for sure, he has improved a lot, he has understood quite a few things, how to push more, how to set up the bike, but to be in the top 15 and score points in this championship is such a tough mission, that I think at the moment is almost unreachable for him unless there are a lot of casualties in front. So, we have to accept what is racing and what is the result, but we are not going to give up and carry on pushing. Hopefully Catalunya is going to be bit sweeter for the Tech3 Moto2 Team.
